“Treat the patient and not the numbers”
This is an old adage that is commonly shared in the medical field. The most important aspect of low testosterone are symptoms experienced by the individual patient. In order to confirm and monitor the concern for low testosterone, blood tests are performed regularly to monitor the levels to ensure patients are getting the best treatment.

There are currently many different treatment options available for testosterone replacement therapy. These can range from gels, patches, pellets, capsules and injections. Here in Southern California Testosterone Clinic, we strongly feel that injections are the best treatment option due to 1) bioavailability of injections and 2) maintanence of therapeutic testosterone levels. Due to this, we provide only injections as we feel that any other inferior product administration to our patients would be a disservice to their care and management of their low testosterone levels. We strongly believe that our patients should get the best patient care and treatments.

At Southern California Testosterone Clinic, we strongly feel testosterone injections are the best medication regiment for treatment of low T for several factors. They have been used the longest and have a proven safety track record. They also provide the best maintenance of hormone levels over time without causing significant peaks and troughs resulting in symptoms. UItimately, they are FDA approved for treatment of TRT.
While testosterone injections are the preferred treatment method, injections are required every 7 days in order to maintain hormone levels appropriately. While this can be considered very time-intensive, we focus on time-efficiency for our patients to get you in and out of clinic during administration of these injections. There are also options of home-injections that also help with convenience as well. We provide both options at our clinic and will provide education in regards to home-administration of testosterone.

While there are many benefits of TRT, our goal here at SCTC is to provide hormonal balance back to the body that has been deficit of testosterone for a number of months/years. TRT uses the lowest effective dose to alleviate symptoms and to ensure that testosterone levels are back to ‘normal’ range. While TRT is a large part of general treatment regimen it is also important to maintain good sleep hygiene, eating/dietary habits and exercise. Within several weeks, you should see and experience a significant difference in your overall well-being.
